What is the process for becoming a client for home birth services with Birth by Grace??We prioritize a holistic and tailored approach to midwifery care and home birth services. The first step in becoming a client is to participate in a mandatory consultation. This "vibe check" consultation is designed to review your health status, assess your candidacy for home birth, and determine if our team is the right fit for your needs. During this session, we discuss your medical history, birth preferences, and answer any questions you may have about our services. After the consultation, we email you a partnership contract for your review. If you decide to proceed, you'll sign the contract and make a deposit to secure our services. From there, we will work closely together to ensure a healthy and empowering birth experience. Book your consultation HERE

What is the "dual care model" option? At Birth by Grace, we support the option of a unique collaborative care model where clients establish care with an obstetric service of their choice, while also having regular prenatal visits with our dedicated Midwifery Team. This model provides a seamless integration of holistic midwifery care with the OB service, ensuring the highest level of support and flexibility throughout your pregnancy journey, especially for our first time mothers. One of the key advantages of this model is that it streamlines the process of "transfer of care" in case you need to transition from a home birth plan to a hospital setting due to unforeseen circumstances. While there is a drawback in terms of potentially needing to manage appointments with both care providers, and finding an OB service which would support your home birth plan, some of our clients find the peace of mind and comprehensive care options far outweigh this inconvenience. By choosing this model, you are empowering yourself with a robust support system designed to adapt to your needs every step of the way. This collaborative approach allows clients to benefit from the best of both worlds—personalized, holistic midwifery care and medical support from an OB, as needed.
