Hey  Mama!

Meet Christine

Christine Taylor, Certified Nurse Midwife and Chicago native, relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in July 2014 to help establish a well known, natural midwifery service. After obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Saint Xavier University and 8 years of labor and delivery nursing, Christine became motivated to pursue a Master’s in Science and Midwifery degree from Philadelphia (Jefferson) University.  Christine has worked in a variety of settings, all of which have equipped her with the necessary knowledge and skills required to provide safe and supportive home birth services.

Christine has an innate passion for caring for women and provides highly intuitive care during natural laboring and birthing processes. She believes that pregnancy and birth are the most beautiful moments a woman can experience and should be protected as such.  Christine resides at her growing Fayetteville, GA homestead with her husband, 2 daughters, 9 goats and 5 dogs (and counting).

Kanara Buchanan

Certified Nurse Midwife

I was Born and raised in Atlanta Ga. My love for birth started as a teenager when I watched a Home birth on YouTube. I’ve always admired the beauty of birth and how empowering it truly can be. I felt it firsthand during my water birth. The incredible Midwifery care I received further ignited my passion for Birth work. With six years of labor and Delivery nursing experience. I have gained insight and skills at both low and higher acuity facilities. Skills I am honored to now offer to mothers and their families in the comfort of their homes. I obtained my Bachelors degree of Nursing at Chamberlain University and my Masters degree at Frontier Nursing University. When I’m not caring for mothers I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.

WHAT THEY SAID

Testimonial

"I had the most amazing experience Birth by Grace. From when I first found out I was pregnant they were welcoming and always there to answer questions and check in. I love how when you walk into BBG office it is relaxing and nothing but good energy and laughs the whole time. If you want to do a home birth they are honest and let you know upfront that things can happen that are out of our control. Although I started with home birth but wasn’t making much progress I decided to go the hospital. They sent me to the hospital where I would get the best care. I ended up having a c-section but they were with me every step of the way through FaceTime and in person and after I went home. I could not have asked for a better birth team. The preparation and honesty through the 9 months helped A LOT for labor. The home birth classes are informational and interactive. You gain support postpartum with breastfeeding and recovery. I will definitely recommend BBG for anyone!! They were more than a midwife and doula but family."
